Have you been looking to encourage discussion around what it means to be fair in your preschool, pre-k or kindergarten classroom? These fairness scenarios will be a great addition to your Unit on Fairness and will get your students identifying what fairness looks and feels like.

Why teach fairness?

Being able to recognize that it is hurtful to be unfair will establish the foundations for developing empathy.

It will help your students see when unfairness happens, help them develop language around it, help them see that unfairness hurts and that fair doesn’t always mean equal.

  • A great Think-Pair-Share activity.
